Buy a Bee Hive & Bee Box
Sweet, Sweet Honey
The one and a half acres of coffee on the Lenca Hunger Farm is just finishing up with its first major harvest, which means we have a lot to accomplish to lay a good foundation for next year’s crop.
One crucial aspects of this is to acquire bee’s. Coffee will flower two to four times more if it is pollinated properly. In order to have a high yielding coffee tree we need significantly more pollinators. Bee’s improve both the quality and amount of coffee produced while also producing their own steady supply of honey, which can also help to increase the profitability of the Hunger Farm.

Buy a Stihl FS 220 Weed Wacker
Tame the Grass
With an average annual rainfall of over 60 inches the grass grows rapidly on our 8 acres of pasture. Four of these acres must be kept groomed short because they grow over the buried copper wires producing the radio signal around the Radio Rio de Dios tower. The FS220 has all of the power and capability we need to keep up with mowing the grass to maintain our cleared acreage and protect the strength of the Radio’s signal and impact.
