Hey guys how’ve you been? Last time I was here I talked about me, but today, imma talk to you about what God has been teaching me lately.
To a lot of you guys that know me, you know I can get a whole lot done. A lot of times this involves running around or sometimes sitting, concentrating on priorities, and then going with a plan. This also means that I’m always thinking about something or doing something. I like it. It keeps me occupied and growing in relationships, but sometimes it might not be so good.
Sometimes, and I know this is something that happens to a lot of us, we can get trapped in our daily chores or tasks that we do. We keep running at this accelerated pace and we forget about the things that make life… life. I’ve come to realize lately that having a busy schedule sometimes makes you forget about problems or things you want to attend to. Sometimes having a busy schedule is an excuse to just continue procrastinating on things.
We sometimes get involved in all the things. We do so much, but we forget that other people are also having a hard time; it’s not just us. Sometimes giving a compliment or making someone laugh can get them so far that we wouldn’t believe it. But this involves having time for friends or people we care about, having time for God, and sharing our day with Him.
I have had to say, “Hey Allan, talk to God while you’re doing this.” And I’ve really liked it. I realize that by doing this I can work and get things done, but it also keeps me from drifting away from my relationship with God. Sometimes driving up the mountain to a village, when I’m going through a hard time, I remember that God is here talking with me.
God has humbled me by sometimes not achieving what I have proposed or the plans I want to follow. I have learned that sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, that God’s plans are different to ours, and they are better planned out. I’m 100% sure that when we think about planning stuff and our future, God sees us and thinks I will change them but I’ll make them better.
I hope this message finds you well, but also makes you remember to talk to God. You need some more chatting with God every day.
